GEO-ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER/ GEOLOGIST/ GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER

Due to expanding workload, we are seeking a geo-environmental engineer to join us in a permanent role.  As part of a small but dynamic geo-environmental consultancy based in Fife and East Lothian, you will be working with and supported by an integrated team of consultants.

Projects are both varied and wide ranging and cover a variety of clients in the private and public sector. The work includes ground condition assessments, geotechnical engineering, environmental assessment, remedial design and ground stability assessments relating to past/ present mining legacy.

Candidates must be degree qualified in the disciplines of either geology, geo-environmental engineering or civil engineering.  A degree to MSc would also be preferable, but not essential.

We are seeking someone with 1-2 years related experience, but will also consider the right graduate who will be given on the job training.

Initially the role will include carrying out desk studies, supporting our phase II ground investigations, carrying out fieldworks/ post siteworks monitoring and writing technical reports.  However, for the right person, there will be the opportunity to progress and have increased responsibility within the business.

Candidates must be able to:

  • work flexibly with good organisational skills
  • have excellent communications both written and spoken
  • be able to integrate with team members and client teams
  • Be proficient with Microsoft office
  • Hold a full UK driving licence

Salary and benefits are competitive and negotiable (based on experience).
